    • Inspected engine bay & found the coolant temperature connector not connected, connected coolant temperature sensor. Found transfer case oil wear code on the vehicle scanner, removed fill plug to check fluid condition & level. Found the transfer case overfull of fluid & the fluid condition is clean. Drained some of the fluid out of the fill plug & reset the oil wear code. Found code 04LWS for the steering angle sensor, reset steering angle sensor & the 4×4 malfunction light went away, then we found a intermittent issue where the light goes away & comes back. Also found the windshield washer cap missing, installed new cap. Customer approved a hour & a half of labor to inspect spark plugs & ignition coils. After resetting the Steering angle sensor and clearing codes, technician test drove again. Steering angle sensor is registering wheel input accurately, but there is a 4X4 fault that triggers this code to set when the 4X4 fault comes back. It seems the steering angle code is resulted from the 4×4 malfunction. Customer had to pick up vehicle before testing was completed. Will continue testing when vehicle returns. Vehicle is safe to drive for the time being.
    • Removed all ignition coils & removed all spark plugs & the spark plugs are corroded & worn & should be replaced. Customer approved replacement. Gapped all spark plugs to specification & applied anti seize to threads. Installed all new spark plugs & applied dielectric grease to all ignition coil boots. Installed ignition coils & cleared misfire codes. Found a misfire in cylinder 3 & swapped the ignition coil to cylinder 2 & found the misfire move to cylinder 2 for the ignition coil, customer approved replacing all six ignition coils. Applied dielectric grease to the new ignition coils & removed the old ignition coils, installed new ignition coils & ensured all the connectors are plugged in. Test drove vehicle to ensure no misfire codes were present & to ensure the engine is performing as it should.
